Cyclone Weather Update

Thank-you for your patience as we have dealt with the aftermath of Cyclone Alfred. The dance studio will be up and running by midday Tuesday 11th March. Tuesday Drills Class and Kid's Class (11th March) have still been postponed, however private lessons are available. Please let us know if you intend to come in for training on Tuesday. Wednesday group classes will be on as normal.
Many of you have missed classes so here are the arrangements for group classes that were interrupted…
Friday Kid’s Class – An extra week will be added on 28th March.
Friday Social Class – An extra week will be added on 11th April.
Sunday Kid’s Classes – An extra week will be added on 30th March.
Sunday Technique Classes - An extra week will be added on 30th March. Medal tests will be held on 30th March.
Monday Social Class – An extra week will be added on 7th April. This will change the start date of the Autumn 2 Season – this will be updated on the website shortly.
Tuesday Kid's Class - An extra week will be added on 1st April.
Tuesday Drills Class - An extra week will be added on 1st April.

Private ballroom lessons are a very popular way to quickly improve your ballroom dancing ability especially if you are anxious or keen to get into competition. We cater for singles through to groups.

Studio Principals
Peter and Rebecca met through ballroom dancing right here in Brisbane when they started learning as teenagers, competing in Modern, Latin and New Vogue. Dancing was a passionate hobby, and a couple of years after graduating from university (Peter is an engineer and Rebecca is a school teacher), they moved to England to take their hobby to the next level. They specialised in Modern and studied dancing under world class teachers and travelled the world for the next nine years competing among world class competitors. After retiring in 2015 they continue their pursuit by teaching Brisbane to dance.

Justin and Amy have been a valuable part of the Orchard's team since moving from their hometown of Rockhampton! Being from a dancing family, Justin began dancing from a young age and met Amy through dancing. Forming a partnership together in 2006, they have competed in Modern and New Vogue and now specialise in Latin American. They are both passionate about the performance side of dance, and have a great respect for fundamental principles. They love helping their students reach their full potential.
